Wapda employees protest over proposed privatization
Protesters chanted slogans against the privatization of power distribution companies.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Employees of Wapda staged a protest outside Lahore Press Club against the proposed privatization of power distribution companies today (Wednesday), Dunya News reported.
The employees of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) and Wapda while holding placards, banners and posters chanted slogans against distribution companies’ privatization and termed it as a conspiracy of government which will result in making electricity expensive.
They further warned of government to halt this step otherwise complete electricity shut down would be carried out.
