ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The incident of custom official asking a bribe of 10 pounds from a British passenger for not checking his bags, as recorded on video, has caused stir among authorities, Dunya News reported.
According to the details, a video has surfaced – reportedly recorded and uploaded by the passenger himself—in which a British passenger is seen asking the custom officials to speed up the checking process.
“Is this check necessary”, he asked; to which the official responded by saying: “Yes! Checking is compulsory. But if you give me a drink, we won’t open your bags. Sort me out and I’ll look after you as well.”
The hesitant passenger then agrees to pay the bribe on the condition that he is not stopped again ahead.
