Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has vowed to root out the terrorists from Punjab, and termed Jaish-e-Muhammad, Lashkar-i-Jhangvi and Sipah-e-Sahaba as offshoots of Al-Qaeda. After visiting the assailed worship place of Ahmadis in Model Town, Lahore on Sunday, the minister said taking life of the innocent people did not fulfil the true definition of Jihad, which actually meant to fight against the terrorists. He said that the terrorists were pouring into Punjab because the noose has been tightened around them in FATA. Malik said that the terrorists networks have been spread to Balcohistan, adding that the miscreants hiding in South Punjab started unveiling themselves.He asserted that elimination of the terrorists is vital for countrys sovereignty. He noted that the terrorists were neither Muslims nor heretics nor human beings; they were just trying to stoke sectarianism in the country.He vowed to take strict action against the militants in future.
