Nepra has hiked the power tariff by 77 paisa per unit and issued a notification in this regard, Dunya News reported on Saturday. As per notification, the raise was enforced under the fuel price adjustment, however the life line consumers would be exempted from it. Nepra has rejected the request made by Central Power Purchase Agency to shift the Rs1.16billion mark up amount to consumers. The purchase agency demanded hike of Rs1.4 paisas in power tariff.
