After rising to the peak point of dead-level, the water of Hunza lake has started flowing out from spillway with low pressure initially, which is expected to increase as the time progresses, Chairman NDMA confirmed early on Saturday morning.The experts are constantly monitoring the lake through helicopters and the control room is setup 15 kilometers from the lake in a village known as Kareemabad. All the workers of relevant departments have been called on duties and rescue and safety measures have been completed. The Gilgit-Hunza section of Karakorum Highway has been closed down due to overflowing of lake; where as a system has also been installed on the boundary of the lake which will warn about the flood. Pakistan Army, local administration and rescue teams are continuously monitoring the lake.
