Summary Fitness test centers for inspection of vehicles will hamper traffic accidents, says CM Punjab.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – An agreement over a project pertaining to Inspection and Certification System of vehicles was signed between Punjab Government and Swedish company on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif said that setting up fitness test centers for inspection of vehicles was imperative to hamper traffic accidents.
The contract was signed by Secretary Transport Punjab and President of Opus Group, Karl Magnus in a ceremony held in Model Town, Lahore while CM Punjab was also present at the occasion.
According to the contract, three fitness stations would be installed in Lahore that would start working by June 2015 in the first phase whereas fitness stations would be set up in various other cities of Punjab in the second phase.
Shahbaz Sharif expressed hope that the project of the inspection of vehicles fitness will help reduce road accidents and ensure road safety.
