Summary Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz addressed the National Assembly today.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Advisor to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has stated that dialogue process with India without Kashmir issue would be useless and unacceptable to Pakistan, the Radio Pakistan reported.

Addressing the National Assembly today (Wednesday), Sartaj Aziz said that resumption of dialogue is now up to India as it had suspended the Foreign Secretaries  level dialogue on a flimsy excuse of Pakistani high commissioner s meeting with the Kashmir leaders in New Delhi.

Sartaj Aziz said there are reports that US President Barack Obama during his visit to India tried to persuade New Delhi to resume dialogue with Islamabad, however, Pakistan has not yet received any indication from the other side in this regard.

He said absence of dialogue, hostile statement, negative propaganda and tensions on the Line of Control and Working Boundaries are indicative of Indian intransigence and reluctance to the resume the dialogue.

Pakistan on its part is striving to reduce tension with India on the border, he added.

KASHMIR DAY

Sartaj Aziz’s statement came a day ahead of the Kashmir Solidarity Day which is being observed in the country and Azad Jammu and Kashmir on February 5th every year with zeal to give political and moral support to the people of Indian-held Kashmir in their struggle for liberation.

The Kashmiri people living in the Indian Occupied Kashmir, Pakistan and other parts of the world will also observe the Solidarity Day with the renewed pledge to continue their freedom movement till they achieve their right to self-determination.

It will be a public holiday tomorrow in Pakistan and AJK. All offices and shopping centres will remain closed.

On this occasion, rallies and processions will be taken out in different parts of the world against illegal occupation of Kashmir by the Indian troops. Seminars will also be held to aware the public about importance of the day.
