PTI will take part in senate elections from KP, will form alliance with JI to contest the elections

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has decided to contest the senate elections from Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) assembly only. The decision was taken in a meeting of the party’s core committee on Friday under the headship of Chairman PTI Imran Khan. The party has also decided to contest the elections in alliance with Jamaat Islami (JI).

PTI’s core committee met in Islamabad to discuss the party’s policy towards senate elections. It was decided in this meeting that the PTI will not contest senate elections from Punjab.

According to the details, PTI will take part in the elections in an alliance with JI. 5 seats will go to PTI and 1 will go to JI under the formula set by the party. All the candidates will be from KP. It was decided that the loyalty with the party, loyalty with the party ideology and the command over constitutional matters will be considered while awarding the tickets.
