Expressing displeasure over absence of Law Secretary Aqil Mirza, Supreme Court summoned Secretary Interior and Chairman NAB on Friday (tomorrow). During the hearing of the case regarding the implementation of NRO ruling, Justice Nasirul Mulk asked Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq if Aqil Mirzas resignation has been accepted. The AG replied in negative. Upon this the court observed that he should have appeared in the court if his resignation were not accepted even if he is taking rest at home in Lahore. The Additional Attorney General KK Agha presented a 90-page report on promotion of Riaz Sheikh, the former additional director general, FIA before the larger bench comprising Justice Nasirul Mulk, Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed, Justice Jawwad S Khawaja, Justice Rahmat Hussain Jafferi and Justice Tariq Parvez. The court has summoned Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Navid Ahsan, Secretary Law Aqil Mirza and Federal Interior Secretary on the next hearing. It merits to mention that both the key officials have resigned from their offices. The court adjoined the hearing till Friday (tomorrow).
