Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi Tuesday said that he invited Indian Foreign Minister to visit Pakistan, adding that resumption of dialogue is vital to establish peace in the region. During a press briefing in Islamabad Qureshi said that Indian External Affairs Minister SM Krishna would visit Pakistan on July 15 while the home minister of both the countries would meet on June 28. He said that an important step forward regarding the bilateral ties. Both the countries agreed to defuse the ongoing tensions between the two neighbours; the roadmap for talks has not been decided so far. The FM said that all important issues would be taken up during the talks, adding that water issue would also be seriously discussed. The FM said that though terrorism is the common enemy but we would not allow the menace to affect our talks. He said efforts would be made to build confidence building measures on Kashmir issues. Earlier, the FM telephoned his Indian counterpart SM Krishna and invited him to Pakistan to resume the stalled peace talks.The FM termed the call beneficial for both the countries.
