Suicide attempt: MD Bait-ul-Maal announces financial help to woman

SUKKUR (Dunya News)— Managing Director of Bait ul Maal, Barrister Abid Waheed Sheikh has taken notice of the news aired by Dunya TV about woman’s suicide attempt in Sukkur along with her five children. Sheikh has announced to financially help the woman and her children.
A poverty-stricken woman along with her five young girls attempted suicide by jumping into the river from the Sukkur Barrage on Sunday but was rescued by the police.
As soon as the woman jumped in the river along with her five children, an auto driver standing close by quickly informed the security forces. The security forces rescued the woman and her children immediately.
The woman and her children were taken to the police station near the airport, where she told that she is a single mother of five children and is unable to raise them as she doesn’t have a source of income.
Having to bear hunger for several days, she decided to commit suicide along with her daughters but was saved by the security forces.
