Summary Traders said that nobody was allowed to announce shutting down Lahore standing on a container
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Trade unions of Lahore have rejected the strike call by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Dunya News reported. Traders said that they did not allow anyone to announce shutting down Lahore standing on a container.
Holding a joint press conference on Tuesday in Lahore Press Club, union leaders of various important markets of Lahore announced that they would not act upon Chairman PTI Imran Khan’s call for strike under any condition. They said that they could not allow Imran Khan to impose his decision upon them.
Traders announced that stick-bearers will guard all the markets if PTI tried to force the markets to shut down.
Trade union leaders from Mall Road, Liberty, Ferozepur Road, Iron Market, Pakistan Cloth Market, Montgomery Road, Azam Cloth Market, Anarkali and many other areas expressed solidarity against shutter-down call.
