Lengthy outages continue due to shortfall

Around 10-15 hour loadshedding is being conducted in the urban while 18-hour in the rural areas owing to the power shortfall hitting the country.According to PEPCO sources, the power shortfall is 5,180megawatts against the demand of 15,130MW. LESCO power shortfall stands at 12, 070megawatts whereas despite the Prime Ministers orders, there is no respite in the outages in Lahore.
