2 children die of malnutrition in Tharparkar while Sindh Assembly desires to feast
The residents of Thar continue to die because of starvation, thirst and malnutrition.
MITHI (Dunya News) – At least two children died and another twenty were under treatment as result of malnutrition in Tharparkar while the Sindh Assembly members discussed their desire to feast on seafood cuisines, Dunya News reported.
According to the details, the main reason for the malnutrition is the drought ongoing for the third consecutive year.
The residents of Thar continue to die because of starvation, thirst and malnutrition.
According to the hospital administration, as many as twenty two have fell prey to the malnutrition in the current month.
Acting on the emergency, the Sindh government termed area as calamity-hit and issued notification.
The provincial government also decided to supply wheat to the affected people on half price.
Meanwhile, the members of the Sindh Assembly kept discussing the desire to communally feast on exotic cuisines.
The Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani said that he desires to eat the fish and asked the provincial minister for fishery to arrange for a feast. He asked the minister to arrange the feast of fish and prawns for all members of Sindh Assembly.
