Summary The case would be heard by a three-member bench led by Justice S Khwaja tomorrow.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Three different petitions were filed in Supreme Court of Pakistan by Chaudhry Shujat Hussain, Ishaq Khan Khakwani and Gauhar Nawaz Sindhu requesting the formation of a seven-member larger bench to hear the case of Prime Minister’s disqualification.

The petitions for formation of a larger bench have been rejected by the Chief Justice of Pakistan,Justice Nasirul Mulk.

The petitioners took a stance that the case is of national importance since some major legal and constitutional issues have been raised.

The case should, therefore, be heard by a seven member bench instead of a three member bench. Ishaq Khakwani had also filed a petition for removing Justice Jawad S Khwaja from the bench.

However, the Chief Justice of Pakistan has rejected the petitions. The case would be heard by a three-member bench led byJustice S Khwaja tomorrow.
