PAF is playing pivotal role in Zarb-e-Azb operation: Air Chief
Air Chief said that PAF is fully equipped with modern technology to defend aerial frontiers.
RISALPUR (Dunya News) — The passing out parade of GD pilots at Pakistan Air Force Academy Risalpur was held on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.
Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt while addressing the parade said that Pakistan Air Force is not only defending the aerial frontiers of Pakistan from external threats but also fighting against militants to eliminate the threat of terrorism in the ongoing Zarb-e-Azb operation.
He stated that the Pakistan Air Force is fully equipped with modern technology and has always played a lead role in defending the country.
The ceremony began with the national anthem. The Pakistan Air Force demonstrated an air show during the parade. The chief guest, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt said that the Pakistan Air Force is fully equipped to protect the aerial frontiers of the country.
Sword of Honor was received by pilot officer Haris Salauhdin from College of Flying Training and pilot officer Rana Sufyan from Aeronautical Engineering College. Mohammad Ahsan was given the trophy for best performance whereas the Chief of Air Staff Trophy was bestowed upon pilot officer Ali Hanif.
Cadets from seven foreign countries were also part of the graduating batch. Air Chief Marshal congratulated the students and parents for completing the degree successfully and expressed his pride over the training conducted at the Pakistan Air Force Academy.
Chief of Air Staff also said that Pakistan Air Force has always been active in helping the victims of flood and quake as well as the internally displaced persons.
