Summary Imran is naïve; nothing I said would affect his popularity, says Hashmi.

MULTAN (Dunya News) – Addressing a press conference on Monday in Multan Javed Hashmi challenged Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi to contest elections against him from constituency NA-150.

Hashmi further said that Imran Khan in a naïve man and a few people within the party are using Imran Khan. He further said these words would not affect Imran Khan’s popularity.

Calling Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rasheed as joker, Javed Hashmi said Sheikh Rasheed used to sign his name as Sheikh Rasheed Butt.

He said the people of Multan will decide who is ‘daghi’ alleging that everything in PTI including dogs has been passed on from All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Chief and former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf.

When Shah Mehmood Qureshi was asked to respond to Javed Hashmi s challenge, he chose to avoid giving any response.

Earlier today, Vice Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mehmood Qureshi said by-elections in constituency NA-149 Multan have been boycotted post party consultation.

He said that PTI is a political party and the decision to boycott by-elections has been taken after due consideration. We shall soon reveal the reason to why none of PTI’s member would contest the election against Javed Hashmi, he added.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi addressed Javed Hashmi stating needs no reason to meet any diplomat in clandestine. He further said he has been the foreign minister of the country and is more acquainted with diplomatic ethics and etiquettes than Javed Hashmi.

On the other hand, all the primary leadership has been summoned for a meeting in Chairman PTI Imran Khan’s container at Parade Avenue at 2 pm today. PTI has decided to expand the sit-ins country-wide. A meeting constituting the senior leadership would decide the dates for Lahore and Multan sit-ins whereas the future strategy of sit-ins would also be finalized. President PTI Punjab Ijaz Chaudhry has also been called for the meeting.
