An Accountability Court acquitted Benazir Bhuttos principle secretary Siraj Shamsuddin in a NAB reference. Siraj had charges of irregular appointments in PIA violating the rules. Advocate Raza Hashmi, the counsel of Siraj Shamsuddin, argued before the court that the case against his client is based on malafide intent as co-accused Benazir Bhutto and Naheed Khan were acquitted by court in the same case. Judges Muhammad Riaz declared the proofs presented in the court against Siraj as insufficient.
