Summary Islamabad High Court has summoned Deputy Commissioner Islamabad over imposition of Section 144.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qurehsi on Tuesday said that local administration is not removing containers due to political reasons.
“We have requested to declare the imposition of Section 144 as null and void, our workers are being harassed through it,” Qureshi stated while talking to media.
He asserted “change is not coming, change has come.”
Earlier today, the Islamabad High Court summoned Deputy Commissioner Islamabad on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s petition challenging the imposition of Section 144.
The PTI in its petition stated that imposition of Section 144 is unconstitutional. PTI workers are being illegally detained and harassed.
After hearing initial arguments, the court directed Deputy Commissioner Islamabad to appear in person before court.
