KARACHI (Dunya News)— A father and son were killed on Tuesday during a tragic incident of firing between two gangs in Lyari which is one of the oldest towns in Karachi, with a population of over one million, Dunya News reported.The dead body recovered from the Daska town of Karachi has been identified as police officer Ali Sher Jhakrani’s son Awais Jhakrani.

Meanwhile, two people were shot dead in an ongoing dispute between two Lyari gangs. The clash reportedly broke out between the two gangs in Kalakot area near Shah Mazar resulting in the death of a man and his four years old son. Both father and son succumbed to their injuries and died on the spot. The incident has, however, triggered a sense of tension in the Kalakot area of Lyari where gangs and smugglers have operated for decades.

The dead body recovered from the Dakas area of Karachi on Monday has been identified by police as that of SSP Additional Inspector General of police Ali Sher Jhakrani’s son named Awais Jhakrani. According to police, the dead body appears to be two days old and bears marks of torture. The police believe the murder resulted after Awais Jhakrani was kidnapped while leaving for Islamabad from Karachi. The police say that an investigation is underway.
