Some four Arifwala Civil Judges have tendered resignation to protest the slapping of a civil judge in Faisalabad while Faisalabad judges also went on leave in for the same reason.However, Additional Session Judge Arfiwala said that the resignations have not been accepted. The judges who tendered their resignations include Adnan Mushtaq, Mian Manzoor, Ahmed Adnan, Anjum Gondal and Imtiaz Hassan.District and Session Judges in different parts of Punjab including Lahore, Kasur, Faisalabad, Pakpattan, Arifwala and Sheikhupura remained absent from the courts. Lahore Civil Judges instead of going to the courts remained in their chambers and discharge their duties while wearing black arms bands.On the other hand, the lawyers in Faisalabad are also observing strike to express solidarity with their colleague who slapped the judge.Meanwhile,Lahore Civil Judges staged a walk from Aiwan-e-Adl to Session Court.
