President to address Parliament on March 26: Babar Awan

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Babar Awan said President Asif Ali Zardari would address the joint session of the Parliament on March 26. Talking to journalists at the Parliament House, he said separate sessions of both the Houses of the parliament would also be held on the same day in which Constitutional Reforms Package would be laid before the Houses.The sessions would continue till the approval of the proposed package with two third majority, he added. The minister said the constitutional committee has already completed its task, adding that on the members of the committee would sign the recommendation. He said that the President announced the constitutional package during his speech to the joint sitting of the Parliament last year. He said the Constitution of 1973 as given by former Prime Minister Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto would be completely restored in its true form after 37 years. The minister said, the constitutional package would be good news for the nation, and it would also be a milestone for all the democratic forces.
