ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – As the sit-in of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) outside the parliament house is continued, the participants are preparing for the final round as chairman PTI Imran Khan is expected to make an important announcement sometime today.

The protesters outside the parliament house at the Parade Ground are staunchly present at the sit-in. after the exertion through the night, protesters settled comfortably as it dawned. The local leadership, workers and charitable organizations arranged breakfast for them. Medical camp has also been arranged for the participants of the sit-in. The adverse weather conditions have also stressed out the protesters.

After the meeting with Chief of army staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, Imran Khan will reveal his next plan of action anytime today.

Earlier, the meeting between the COAS ‎General Raheel Sharif and PTI chief Imran Khan to resolve current political crisis in the country concluded on early Friday morning.

Chief of Army Staff had accepted federal government’s request to mediate between PTI, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and the federal government.

General Raheel Sharif will hold a separate meeting with PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri later. The sources said that army had asked for "24 hours for mediation".

Thousands of demonstrators led by Tahirul Qadri and Imran Khan have been camping outside the parliament building in Islamabad since August 15, demanding the prime minister step down.
