ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - In a bid to end political crisis that has rattled the country, government committee will begin third round of talks with the protesting leaders of Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday.
Thousands of followers of cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan and populist cleric Tahir-ul-Qadri are demonstrating outside the parliament building, trying to force Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from office.
Earlier on Friday, the government teams separately held talks with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).
The talks continued for over two hours and both sides exchanged their points of view on the demands put by PTI.
The government committee headed by Governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar comprised Zahid Hamid, Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal and Federal Minister Abdul Qadir Baloch.
The PTI committee comprised on Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Javed Hashmi, Pervez Khattak, Jahangir Tareen, Dr Arif Alvi and Asad Umer.
Meanwhile, in a separate meeting, the committees of the government and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) held second round of talks at D-Chowk of Islamabad and discussed suggestions to defuse the political crises.
