Imran Khan working on ex-spymaster's advice: Pervez Rasheed
"EC was mutually decided upon, impartial officers were deployed in Punjab" - Planning Minister
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervez Rasheed has said that a ‘former spymaster’ has met Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan recently, according to media reports. He alleged that the same spymaster was involved in promotion of PTI earlier in 2011. Pervez Rasheed accused Imran Khan of working on ex-spymaster s advice. He said that the ex-spymaster was unable to win the election for PTI so now he was provoking Imran Khan for long march. He said that the rumours about Martial Law were only being spread to malign Pakistan Army in the international community.
After attending Pakistan Muslim League (N) meeting, presided over by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, today (Monday), Pervez Rasheed staged a press conference along with Deputy Chairman Planning and Development Commission Chaudhry Ahsan Iqbal in Lahore.
On this occasion, Information Minister reminded Imran Khan of the PTI’s intra-party report on ‘election failure’ prepared by Tasneem Qureshi. He said that Imran Khan tries to hide this report deliberately. He advised Imran Khan to study Tasneem Qureshi’s report. “PTI’s fact-finding report says that tickets were sold for money by certain PTI leaders”, said Rasheed.
“Our party and government are committed to ensure safety and peace in Pakistan”, added the PML-N Senator.
Speaking on this occasion, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Chaudhry Ahsan Iqbal said that all the election results were in accordance with the hopes of the people of Pakistan. He said that international institutions monitored the election in Pakistan and declared them to be the most free and fair elections of Pakistan’s history.
Ahsan Iqbal said that Pakistan Muslim League (N) was the most popular party before elections according to all the surveys. Ahsan Iqbal alleged that nothing happens in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KPK) without Imran Khan’s SMS.
Responding to a question Ahsan Iqbal said that Tahirul Qadri has ordered to kill all ministers and his own workers if they return without revolution. He asked PTI workers to be aware of people like Dr. Tahirul Qadri.
Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Ahsan Iqbal said that the Election Commission was mutually decided upon. He also said that impartial officers were deployed in Punjab by the caretaker government.
Ahsan also requested all the PMLN workers to remain peaceful and not to get provoked by mischief-makers.
