PM begins consulting politicians over PTI, PAT protest marches

Summary Political matters including PTI's long march came under discussion in meeting with politicians.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday began consulting political leadership over the upcoming ‘Azadi March’ and ‘revolution march’ of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) respectively, Dunya News reported.
According to the details, Prime Minister speeded up the political contacts in the wake of heated political atmosphere caused by the highly campaigned protest marches.
Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Aftab Sherpao met the Prime Minister on his invitation. Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar was also present in the meeting.
Various political matters including PTI’s long march came under discussion.

Political leaders agreed that the democracy must not derail and that the democracy, constitution and the parliament should remain supreme.
The leadership also communicated their concerns regarding the Article 245 to the Prime Minister.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting told the press after that it was decided in the meeting that the government and the opposition will play their role by working together to strengthen the system. He told that the political leadership also agreed to resolve the matters through mutual understanding.
PTI is gearing up for its much hyped ‘Azadi March’ to protest against election irregularities and alleged rigging. PTI chief Imran Khan announced in his press conference earlier today that his party’s protest march won’t stop until demands of PM’s resignation and a re-election are met.
