Summary The Chief Minister Punjab distributed relief goods amongst the North Waziristan IDPs in Bannu.
BANNU (Web Desk) – Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday arrived in Bannu to celebrate Eid with the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan.
The Chief Minister is accompanied by Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Abbasi and Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid.
Addressing the IDPs at Bakakhel camp in Bannu, Shahbaz Sharif stated that that he will not rest until completed rehabilitation of the displaced persons.
He said whole nation should move forward to change country’s destiny. He said societies lacking peace, brotherhood and justice cannot progress.
Appreciating army’s role, the Chief Minister said Pakistani troops have rendered countless sacrifices in war against against terrorism. Zarb-e-Azb is a war for existence of Pakistan and it will be won at every cost.
“Whole nation stands shoulder-to-shoulder with its armed forces,” Shahbaz Sharif said.
CM Shahbaz also lauded the sacrifices of tribal people. He said that tribal people are most patriotic people and they have to be more cautious against enemies of Pakistan among them.
On the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif announced to construct one hospital, a university, Danish schools and 2,000 homes in North Waziristan after completion of operation Zarb-e-Azb.
He said process of distribution of Rs350 million among 54,000 IDP families will be completed in next couple of days. He said another 350 million rupees will be distributed in next month. He said so far 40,000 families have received 7,000 rupees each, while remaining 14,000 will receive in few days.
