Sindh Government withdrew the notification for appointment of Town Municipal Officers (TMO)s as administrators hours after its issuance earlier in the day. Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah suspended the Additional Secretary Local Government Abdul Haq Abaro and ordered investigations into the matter. The Sindh Government had issued a notification to appoint all the TMOs of the province as administrators of towns and talukas, the notification was expected to come into effect immediately. Governor Sindh Ishrat Abad spoke to CM Sindh on this issue. During the meeting with Governor Sindh CM Sindh said that he was unaware of this notification and ordered inquiry into the issue. CM has also called back Chief Secretary Sindh Fazal-ur Rehman.Notification was fake, says Aga Siraj DurraniMinister for Local Government Aga Siraj Durrani while talking to Dunya news said that the notification for the appointment of the administrators in place of the nazims in 18 towns of Karachi was the fake one. He said that the committee has been formed to investigate the matter and it will give its report in the coming three days.
