President Mahmud Abbas to land in Pakistan today

Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas will be arriving in Pakistan today.President Mahmud Abbas will hold separate meetings President Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani to discuss the situation in Middle East. In a statement from the foreign office it is said that Pakistan supports the struggle of the Palestinian people for an independent and sovereign Palestinian state whose capital would be Jerusalem. In another statement it is also said that Pakistan wants the Palestinian issue to be resolved in accordance with UN resolutions.
