Second round of talks ends, Taliban committee leaves for Miranshah

Summary The Taliban dialogue committee members have left for Miranshah.

MIRANSHAH (Web Desk) - The session between banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) political shura and dialogue committee has concluded, Dunya News reported on Sunday.

The committee comprising Professor Ibrahim and Mualana Yousaf Shah met with the political shura headed by Qari Shakil at an undisclosed location in North Waziristan.

During the second round of talks, the political shura formally presented its conditions to its representatives.

The conditions include; holding negotiations within limits of Shariah, withdrawal of forces from conflicted areas and release of captured Taliban accomplices from Pakistani prisons.

The session also discussed the options for ceasefire along with other key issues.

The dialogue committee members have left for Miranshah where helicopter is ready to take off for Islamabad.

The Taliban committee is likely to put forward TTP’s demands after reaching Islamabad.
