Summary Federal Government has accepted the resignation of Yaseen Anwar with effect from January 31st 2014.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Yaseen Anwar resigned from his post on Thursday.
In a statement issued here on Thursday said that Ministry Of Finance has accepted the resignation of SBP Governor Yaseen Anwar. It said that the decision regarding the new SBP acting governor will be made tomorrow (Friday).
Yaseen Anwar was appointed as State Bank of Pakistan governor on 19th Oct 2011. Mr. Anwar is the 17th Governor of SBP since its inception in July, 1948.
Prior to his appointment as the governor, Mr. Anwar was appointed as acting governor of SBP on July 18th, 2011.
