Summary Maulana Samiul Haq asks the govt. to say it openly if they're looking for an excuse for operation.
LAHORE: (Dunya News)- Maulana Samiul Haq, while exclusively talking to Dunya News has said that the government is not serious about negotiating with Taliban. Lashing out at government’s explanation that no task was assigned to him, Samiul Haq said that government’s seriousness can be ascertained from this statement. He further claimed that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has not taken any of his calls after their meeting. “The instructions issued from Prime Minister House after our meeting are on record”, he added.
Samiul Haq made it clear that the government should come out openly if they’re looking for an excuse to start military operation. If operation was the solution, peace would have restored eight years ago; use of power will take everything away, he claimed. He further said the government should decide their senses, and that decision based on impulses can make them pay.
Samiul Haq further claimed that military operation against Taliban is part of American agenda and this possible military operation is bound to have a reaction. The objectives of crushing Taliban are in front of everyone, he added.
Earlier, the government had distanced itself from Maulana Samiul Haq saying the government has not assigned him any task with regards to negotiating with Taliban.
