LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif today (Wednesday) announced Rs 10 million compensation for the families of policemen killed in yesterday’s Rawalpindi blast.
Chairing a meeting regarding law and order situation, the Chief Minister said that martyred policemen set a great example of bravery by sacrificing their lives while protecting the citizens.
He said that those policemen averted a major disaster.
On the occasion, CM Shahbaz announced that government will bear all the education expenditures of the martyred policemen's children.
Tuesday’s strike took place in the Gracy Lines neighbourhood of the garrison city of Rawalpindi, which neighbours the capital Islamabad, as worshippers prayed inside the imambargah.
