Summary
President Asif Ali Zardari has returned back the summary sent to him by Chief Justice of Pakistan for the appointment of Lahore High Court Justice Saqib Nisar as Supreme Court judge. According to the Law Ministry, it is requested to Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to review the summary once again as Justice Khawaja Sharif is senior most judge of Lahore High Court and according to the decision of Al-Jihad Trust, it is the right of Khawaja Sharif to be the judge of the Supreme Court. According to sources, the summary has been returned with consultation of the PM and the President.
