Chief Justice (CJ) of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said that there would be no more corruption in Pakistan. He was addressing to judges from different bars where he urged the judges to promise that from now on there would be no corruption in the country.CJ said that we have to prove that corruption has been rooted out of Pakistan. Corruption is coming to an end in the courts of civil judges and magistrates.We will not allow anyone to snub the rights of the nation. The nation wants justice instead of atrocity. We should be committed towards serving Pakistan.Earlier in the day Chief Justice has said that no system is acceptable that is against the rights of the nation. Courts would continue to work for ensuring the supremacy of the rule-of -law. Chief Justice was speaking at signing ceremony of the new lawyers where CJ said that in a society where rule-of-law is not supreme those societies cannot be reformed.The courts would continue to function according to the Constitution. Courts play an extremely important role and the courts in the country should work to strengthen institutions. CJ also said that courts and lawyers are equally responsible for ensuring justice to the people. The government is also responsible for providing justice to the people. Rule-of-law is extremely important to defeat terrorism.
