Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Wednesday said the government will implement the judgment of Supreme Court on National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) in accordance with the law and Constitution.The prime minister said he was in consultation with Attorney General, law minister and legal experts for recommendations on the issue of NRO, however he said these would take further time to finalize.After visiting a utility store here, the prime minister, when asked about the reopening of Swiss cases, said the decision would be taken after studying the detailed judgment.Gilani recalled his statement on the floor of the House and said the coalition government believed in the rule of law and stability of state institutions, which ultimately gave strength to democracy. He said the government had full respect and honour for the verdicts of honourable courts.Gilani said no single institution could ensure good governance and said federal, provincial and district governments need to work together in this regard. About the issue of judges seniority at their appointment, the prime minister said he did not want to discuss the recommendations as they were still in pipeline. The matter is between me and the President, he said.About the objective of his surprise visit to the utility store, the prime minister said he wanted to assess the quality and rates of items available at the store. He said keeping in view the pressure at the only utility store in the populated area of sector G-9, he directed the concerned authorities to open another one in the same locality. He said orders had already been issued to open 6,000 utility stores across the country that would provide jobs to 12,000 people. About the looming sugar crisis, Gilani said the government was cognizant of the situation and would import sugar. He said the government would devise a strategy in consultation with four chief ministers to overcome the sugar shortage and keep its price stable. Regarding the issue of rent control act and the problems of business community, Gilani said a committee would be constituted to look into the matter. NRO creator should be brought to justice: Justice Raza Supreme Courts Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza on Wednesday has opposed the supervision of hearing of re-opening cases after NRO decision in subordinate courts. He said that those should also be brought to justice who made the NRO. Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza has issued an additional note in the detailed NRO verdict. He said that the Supreme Court did not monitor the hearing of reopening cases in the subordinate courts. Govt should implement NRO verdict soon: Ch. NisarOpposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Chaudary Nisar has said that the government should implement Supreme Courts decision on NRO as soon as possible, otherwise the SC would itself decide about the matter.During the question-answer session of the Senate, Nisar said that conspiracy is being hatched in the closed circles. Exclusion of Pakistani cricketers from IPL-3 is not only an insult to the players but also to the entire nation. He also said that only speeches would not help to solve any issue, the entire assembly should send a clear message to India that Pakistan would not participate into any sport with India.
