Summary CM Sindh says new delimitation cannot be done according to the wishes of any party.
KARACHI (Online) - Chief Ministry Sindh Qaim Ali Shah had said that work regarding new delimitation in Sindh would be completed in one month, while new delimitations could not be done at any ones will.
Addressing to the annual dinner of Karachi Association Trade and Industry on Monday he said, new delimitations were being done as per orders of Supreme Court and it would be done where it is needed.
“Delimitations were also done in 2001 but no one at that time objected and now if anyone has any objection he should consult SC in this regard”, he added.
Replying to query CM stated that during 13 years population has massively increased and new delimitations are necessary as similar to the volume of population.
“Sword of SC regarding Local Bodies polls is hanging over the head of government and LB polls will be conducted following the directions of SC,” he said.
Earlier in his address, CM said, economic progress of the country depends on the peace in Karachi, and with the cooperation of business community and public, government will eliminate extortion, target killing and other crimes from the city.
Rangers and police are working on right tracks to establish the peace in city, lights of city will be reinstated and people will be provided security also, he added.
“Infrastructure system of industrial zone of Karachi including others also, will be strengthened and every measure will be taken to resolve the issues of industrialists” CM said.
