Summary Balochistan law and order case was heard at Quetta Registry of the Supreme Court.
QUETTA (Dunya News) – While hearing the Balochistan law and order case, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said that people have lots of hope but the new government hasn’t delivered as yet.
A three member bench of the apex court comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Jawwad S Khawaja and Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed resumed the case hearing at the Quetta Registry of the Supreme Court on Monday.
During case proceeding, the Chief Justice remarked that there were several expectations from the new government to resolve problems, adding that the former government was better as they at least recovered missing persons occasionally.
He told Additional Attorney General that court knows how to get its order implemented but doesn’t intend to do so.
“The ball is in your court now,” the CJP told Additional AG.
The Chief Justice also remarked that no one is above law and it is government’s responsibility to ensure security of the masses and implementation of the court orders.
