LAHORE (Online) - Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar will be sworn in as 35th Governor of the Punjab at the Governor’s House today (Monday).
Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Umar Ata Bandial, will take oath from the governor-designate.
The Governor’s House spokesperson said that Ch Muhammad Sarwar was a non-controversial figure and had rendered valuable services for Pakistan on social, political, economic and diplomatic fronts.
Ch Sarwar is a loyal Pakistani who surrendered British citizenship besides playing a significant role in strengthening ties between Pakistan and Britain as a member of the British Parliament.
