Summary PM says the two countries can cut down defence budget if they can ensure peace in region.

MADINA (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan wanted better relations with all its neighbours including India .

Both the countries should make serious efforts to resolve disputes, adding they could also cut down defence budget like the US and the erstwhile USSR, Nawqz said.

He said this in a meeting with a delegation of Pakistan Journalist Forum in Madina Munawara.

“The progress and prosperity could not be achieved without peace,” he said.

Nawaz said unless India and Pakistan struck a balance in the arms race a serious threat to the regional peace would persist.

About loadshedding in the country, Nawaz Sharif said the PML-N government had chalked out a strategy to resolve the power crisis and would end demand-supply gap in 3 to 4 years.
