Summary Flood water entered different parts of Karachi after breach occurred in Kaiser Dike.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The residents of Karachi were stunned to see flood water knocking at their doorsteps despite the fact that there is no river of dam near the city.
Heavy rain on mountains regions of Godap and Kathor areas near Karachi triggered flash floods which breached Kaiser Dike and flood water entered several villages.
Flood water wreck havoc in Babu Patani, Ali Muhammad Gabool Goth, Kaiser Sehani and Faqir Muhammad Goth and residents were forced to move to safer places.
The flood water after passing through different villages near Godap then reached Super Highway and caused severe damage in the area. Dozens of containers were washed away in the flood water.
After causing destruction at the Super Highway, the deluge entered Saadi Town and then Amroha Society and Gulistan Johar Safoora Chorangi. The flood water then entered Bhataiabad and then advanced toward Airport.
From Airports, the flood water moved toward Shahrah-e-Faisal and Shah Faisal stream. After falling in Shah Faisal Stream it moved to Korangi stream and now heading towards Arabian Sea.
