MULTAN (Dunya News) - As many as 64 patients of gastroenteritis were admitted to Nishtar Hospital, Children Hospital Complex and other local hospitals during last few days.
The situation is out of control due to hot and humid weather, health department reported.
A total 171 patients attended at the OPDs whereas 64 seriously ill patients were admitted in emergency wards.
The doctors advised people to drink boiled water, take plenty of liquids to combat dehydration, avoid direct exposure to sunlight and replace lost body salts with saline drinks.
They urged Wasa authorities to supply chlorinated water to minimise the occurrence of gastroenteritis.
