KARACHI (Dunya News):-Sindh High Court Chief Justice Musheer Alam has said law enforcement agencies have absolutely failed to restore peace and tranquility in the city.
A high-level meeting regarding law and order situation particularly in Karachi was held in Sindh High Court where Chief Justice was in the chair.
Sindh Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary for Interior, Inspector General Sindh Police, Director General Rangers, Commissioner Karachi, District Commissioner and other senior officials were also present.
Justice Musheer Alam was of the view that law enforcement institutions had absolutely failed to consolidate peace in the metropolitan.
He stressed that Prosecutor General Sindh and other judicial officer should render their professional liabilities with utmost sense of responsibilities; so that accused may be brought to justice.
Chief justice also emphasized that convicted should be penalized without any delay, with the direction that city should be disarmed without discrimination.
He concluded that judges should be provided foolproof security.
