Former attorney general Malik Qayyum, Sharif ud Din Pirzada and former chief commissioner Islamabad submitted their statements to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) while Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan requested for two days time on statement of Haris Steel Mills owner Sheikh Afzals statement, Dunya News reported on Tuesday. Malik Muhammad Qayyum submitted a written statement through his associates before NAB Punjab. According to his statement, Qayyum claimed that the notice sent to him by NAB is illegal. Sharif ud Din Pirzada sent his two-page statement through fax rejecting all allegations leveled against him. Sheikh Afzal had also accused former chief commissioner Islamabad Fazeel Asghar for receiving Rs 5 million for helping him go abroad. Fazeel Asghar recorded his statement after appearing before investigation officer of NAB. A three member team headed by Assistant Director FIA Khawaja Hammad also interrogated former chief commissioner Islamabad.
