Summary General Knud Bartels called on COAS General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani at GHQ, Rawalpindi.
RAWALPINDI (Online) - Chairman of NATO Military Committee, General Knud Bartels called on COAS General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani at GHQ, Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
According to ISPR, the two discussed matters of mutual interest with emphasis on security situation in Afghanistan and coordination measures between NATO and Pak Army.
Meanwhile General Knud Bartels, Chairman NATO Military Committee also met Khalid Shameem Wynne, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC).
He remained with the Chairman for some time and discussed matters related to mutual interests with the special emphasis on emerging Geo-Strategic situation of Afghanistan and post 2014 scenario.
Later, the visitor was briefed on Pakistan’s contribution to the fight against terrorism with special reference to the sacrifices rendered by the nation against the menace.
General Bartels also attended a wreath laying ceremony at Shuhada Monument and was presented a guard of honour by a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army.
