Summary Awais Sheikh and his son were abducted from Burki road.
(Web Desk) - Awais Sheikh, the Pakistani lawyer of Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh, and his son, who were kidnapped Thursday morning from Lahore’s Burki road, were found after their abductors left them in Punjab s Sheikhupura area.
Mr Sheikh and his 29-year-old son Shahrukh were intercepted by unknown gunmen when they had gone to a village near Burki Hudaira area to buy land for a farmhouse.
According to family members, they were whisked away in a red double cabin pick-up truck.
The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Lahore Jawad Ahmad Dogar had also confirmed the incident.
Sheikh was the lawyer for Indian terorist Sarabjit Singh, who died on May 2 after being comatose for nearly a week following a brutal assault by fellow inmates in Lahore s Kot Lakhpat Jail.
