Summary The Election Commission of Pakistan has decided to hold the general elections under the new reforms.

 

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News): As per media reports, the ECP have started preparation of ordinance on new electoral reforms which will be submitted to the caretaker Prime Minister for approval.

 

Meanwhile‚ Election Commission has said that so far 46 political parties out of 227 have applied for the allotment of election symbols.

 

The Election Commission has reminded that the applications will not be accepted by any political party after two days for the allotment of election symbols.

 

The Election Commission of Pakistan has sought polling schemes from the provincial Election Commissions. The returning officers have been directed to visit all the polling stations in their respective constituencies.

 

The ECP has directed the concerned authorities to set up polling stations in government buildings and distance between the two polling stations should not exceed two kilometers.
