Summary Federal law minister says president will dissolve assemblies after PM’s advice.
KARACHI: Federal Law Minister Farooq H Naek on Sunday said that President will dissolve the assemblies at the advice of Prime Minister which will lead to new elections.
Talking to media‚ he said that announcement of the elections date is prerogative of the president.
He said that the Chief Election Commissioner cannot be removed as the Commission has constitutionally been set up and it could not be dissolved.
The Minister said consultation is under way with the stakeholders to hold general elections on the same day.
He said the agreement with Chief Tehrik-e-Minhajul Quran Dr. Tahir ul Qadri remains intact.
