Summary NAB report holds PM Raja Perviaz Ashraf, Shoukat Tareen responsible Rental Power Project corruption.
ISLAMABAD: Dunya News Tuesday acquired a copy of the report prepared by NAB inquiry officer Asghar Khan.
The report says as Minister Power Raja Perviaz Ashraf allotted the contracts by violating the rules, and the contractor in RRP was given benefit intentionally.
Three charges have been established in the report.
1- As Minster Water and Power, Raja Prevaiz Ashraf failed in stopping the corruption in the RPP contracts.
2- Raja Pervaiz Ashraf used his influence and forced the Economic Coordination Committee to take a wrong decision.
3- Raja tried to give benefit to the contractor intentionally.
Duny News has learnt that Supreme Court of Pakistan issued the arrest warrants for Raja Perviaz Ashraf on the basis of the same inquiry report.
The report also recommends filing of reference against Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.
The report says that ex-finance minister Shoukat Tareen increased the amount of advance payment from 7 percent to 14 percent.
