The government has speeded up efforts to reconcile with its allies and various meetings are being held in this regard, reported Dunya News. President Asif Ali Zardari will meet ANP parliamentarians in Islamabad while Rehman Malik with MQM delegation in Dubai today. Sources told that President Zardari will take ANP into confidence on the current political situation in the country. ANP delegation will consist on Asfand Yar Wali,Haji Adeel, Haji Ghulam Ahmad Balour and Afrasiab Khatak. President will also give a dinner to this delegation after the meeting. In a meeting scheduled to be held in Dubai, Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Dr Asif will represent government while Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad, Anis Qaim Khani, Anwar Ahmad and Babar Ghauri will represent MQM. Regime of former president Pervez Musharaf, introduced the Local Government System in August 2001. Local government (LG) system has constitutional cover until December 31, 2009.
